About Me

IMG_3013.jpeg

My name is Aileen Soliz. My family is from Bolivia, but I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life. As the oldest daughter, I’m proud to be the first in my family on track to graduate from college.

Outside of design, I enjoy exploring different forms of art. I recently picked up charcoal drawing, which has helped me reconnect with more traditional techniques. I also enjoy reading, especially fantasy, romance, and sci-fi. In my free time, I like playing video games like Destiny and Minecraft, and watching shows like The Vampire Diaries and Game of Thrones.

During my time at George Mason University, I’ve developed strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign. Beyond school, I’ve worked on freelance projects creating logos for family and friends’ businesses, as well as designing posters and editing photos for events.

I’ve always had a deep love for art. I’m especially drawn to the way creative work can make people feel—there’s something meaningful about seeing something you made bring a smile to someone’s face. That feeling continues to inspire my work. Through my designs, I aim to create pieces that feel thoughtful, engaging, and enjoyable. I’m passionate about collaborating with others and bringing ideas to life.
